During our library time, we have been reading Wonder by R.J Palacio. This book is about a boy named August. August is born with a facial difference. His whole life he has been homeschooled but, he is now going to public school for 5th grade. He faces challenges as the new kid at school. We find the book very interesting because it is an uncommon topic in books. It's written in a way that shows how kids really think and how they feel. Written by: Jessica, Kyra and Lacee
Thank you very much or sharing your thoughts on this book. The topic of the book reminds me of a movie called "Mask" (circa 1985) that I watched as a kid. I am very interested in reading this book to discover the similarities and differences between the movie and the book. Are the issues similar or different for the main characters? Thanks for sharing.
